DEKRA in the ADAC TCR Germany
Series-Oriented Motorsports with Ample Action

In its fourth year, the ADAC TCR Germany continues to enjoy huge popularity and is impressing again with a well-filled field as well as brand variety. DEKRA, as series partner, is supporting the young talents as they enter the touring car sport.

The expert organization has been involved in the racing series since the premiere of TCR Germany in the 2016 season – and here, too, the DEKRA logo adorns the start numbers on the spectacular vehicles.

The globally applicable TCR regulations, introduced in 2015, enable attractive touring car sports at favorable conditions – perfect for up-and-coming young drivers. Additionally, the series-oriented 350 hp racing cars from Audi, Cupra, Honda, Hyundai, Opel, and Volkswagen appeal to a wide audience. With its spectacular races including paint replacement and wheel-to-wheel duels, the ADAC TCR Germany is the ideal complement in the event package of the ADAC GT Masters, the ADAC GT4 Germany, and the ADAC Formula 4. And DEKRA is active as a partner in all four race series.

In the 2019 season, a total of 18 drivers are facing the tough-as-nails competition in the TCR championship. The year harbors a new challenge for defending champion Harald Proczyk as well. He is moving from Opel to Hyundai and will have to fend off Mike Halder, who set the best time in the official test drives before the start of the season. Last year’s rookie champion Max Hesse can also have high hopes of top results.

An exciting program in Germany and neighboring countries awaits Proczyk, Halder, Hesse, and their 15 competitors this year – with the kick-off in Oschersleben in April and the finals at Sachsenring in September. The TCR drivers are just as challenged on the coastal track in Zandvoort as at the legendary Nürburgring or in Hockenheim. Who will come out on top is impossible to predict. But that is exactly what the DEKRA-supported touring car racing series is all about. With its cumulative action in two 30-minute sprint races per weekend, the race series generates one thing above all: a desire for more!
